De Bug, boss! De Bug!
« on: November 05, 2007, 01:24:47 PM »
In the last several months, I learned of a tool that I was pleasantly surprised to learn was available to me, and I was equally surprised to find out how few people that I spoke to didn't know about it either.

That tool is the "MM -E" command.  MM -E differs from the typical MM (Main Menu) command in that, when you run menu items in MM -E, you are automatically thrown into the debugger, and put into the exact spot in the code where the runtime error occurred.  It has been incredibly in helping me pinpoint runtime errors.

From TCL, you would simply type 'MM -E' where you would have typically typed 'MM', that's all you have to do to take advantage of the tool.
