What would cause the TU.DOWNLOAD to start the transfer and then time out?
Would this be affected by upgrades to Prelude, Unix, SB+, etc?

Really, any of that (network, upgrades, Unix, etc.) could be responsible for the timeout.  Have you tried changing between the SBZ and FTP transfer modes?  If you're using FTP, has the user's password changed recently?

Yes, I tried switching the transfer protocol between SBZ and ftp.
Though ftp worked the program did not return to the menu but ended at TCL.
An internet search suggested upgrading the SBClient to the current version v6.4.1
And yes, that fixed the problem!
Of course, things must be done properly and done in the right order.
Un-install old version, restart the computer, and install the new version.

I just spoke to someone about 6.4.1.  They were having a problem with exports to Excel with Prelude using that version.  6.5.4 is the latest I believe.
