Has anyone seen this error message when logging into Prelude? What does it mean.
"The CLEANUP is cleaning up the dead processes, please wait for a while"
Unidata has a program called "cleanupd" (the "cleanup deamon") that finds sessions that were once connected to telnet, but telnet was disconnected so they're orphaned. This program will release the record locks held by that program and will terminate Unidata as normally as possible to avoid corruption.
Normally this runs in the background and you don't see anything of it. I'm wondering if cleanupd is stalled for some reason and that's why you're seeing the message?
