I know the economy is bad, but...
« on: January 22, 2009, 02:06:07 pm »
...I don't believe it's an invitation for every sleazy marketer in the book to ignore the no-call list.  In the past few weeks I've been getting at least one (and usually more) solicitations a day on the office phone, cell phone... and frankly, I'm tired of it.  How exactly are you supposed to track down these people that are ignoring the no-call list and get them to pony up the fines?

I don't know about you, but ... I'd really appreciate a bit of coin for the increased hassle.

I believe the "do not call list" has to be renewed every 5 years.  Be tricky and get the caller's information and then turn-in the basters.  There is a number at the "Do not Call list" web site to report these people.

I report them all, even though I rarely have time to do so. Fortunately, it's easy and quick enough.  At the rate this is at, if they all end up paying the $10K fine they're supposed pay, I'll be living in diamonds.
